Las Vegas helicopter wedding: a ceremony over the Strip, $1,271
Las Vegas married about eighty thousand couples last year and a handful of them did it eight hundred feet above the Strip. It is the most Las Vegas thing on this page. Here is what the package actually contains, what it does not, and the four things worth deciding before you book.

Quick answer
A Las Vegas helicopter wedding costs $1,271 and takes about two hours door to door, with the ceremony performed in the air over the lit Strip in a private helicopter. The package normally includes the flight, the officiant, the photographs and transfers. What it does not include is the marriage licence, which you obtain yourself beforehand at the county clerk’s office. It is a new listing with two reviews, so judge it on what is in the package rather than on the score.

Four things to decide before you book
What actually makes this work
None of them is expensive and all of them are easier settled in advance.
- Get the licence first, and do not leave it to the day
A Nevada marriage licence is obtained in person from the county clerk before the ceremony. It is not part of any flight package on this page, and no officiant can proceed without it. Check the current hours and requirements directly with the clerk’s office.
- Work out who is actually coming
A helicopter cabin holds a small number of people and some of those seats are the pilot and the officiant. If you want witnesses or family in the air with you, confirm the seat count before you book rather than assuming.
- Book after dark
The lit Strip is the entire backdrop and it is what the photographs will show. A daytime ceremony over the same route is a ceremony over a row of beige buildings.
- Ask what happens on the ground afterwards
Most packages include photographs on the pad. Whether there is anywhere to stand with a glass afterwards, and for how long, varies — the apron is a working one and there is usually another group behind you.
What it is and is not
An honest description of a helicopter wedding
Fifteen minutes, on headsets, with the best backdrop in Nevada.
It is short. Fifteen minutes in the air, and the ceremony itself occupies part of that. If you are imagining a long ritual, this is not that: it is a vow exchange with a very good view, and the couples who love it are the ones who wanted exactly that.
It is loud, and you will be on headsets. Everything said is said through the intercom, which is intimate in an odd way — the officiant, the two of you and whoever else is aboard, all in the same channel, over the rotor.
The photographs are the durable part. Which is why the package including them matters: no outside photographer can get to a secure pad, and inside the cabin there is no room for one who is not also a guest.
It is not a substitute for a reception. Two hours door to door, and then you are back on the Strip in your wedding clothes at nine in the evening, which for a lot of couples is precisely the point.
If the occasion matters more than the ceremony, a private canyon flight is the other way to spend this money.

Helicopter weddings, answered
How much is a Las Vegas helicopter wedding?
$1,271 for the package on this page: a private helicopter, the ceremony performed in the air over the lit Strip, photographs and transfers. It takes about two hours door to door.
Is the marriage licence included?
No. A Nevada marriage licence is obtained in person from the county clerk before the ceremony and is not part of any flight package here. Check the current requirements and hours with the clerk’s office directly.
Can guests come on the flight?
A small number, limited by the cabin — and some of those seats are the pilot and the officiant. Confirm the seat count with the operator before booking if family are coming.
Is the ceremony really performed in the air?
Yes, on this package, over the lit Strip, with everybody on headsets and the intercom carrying the words.
Should we fly at night?
Yes. The lit Strip is the backdrop you are paying for. The same route in daylight is a row of large buildings beside a road.
How long does the whole thing take?
About two hours door to door, of which roughly fifteen minutes is flying.
